1. Before starting, train should be in fully released condition. 

2. Coasting to be done where possible. 

3. After braking, wait for releasing of the load, before notching up. 

4. Before every braking costing to be done for some distance. 

5. Loco Polots maximum use of costing boards. 

6. When work empty load by multipal unit, dead rear loco.

1. If loco blower is OFF for one hour you are save energy of 75 units i.e. Rs. 375/-

2. If 18 coach Mail/Exp. Train run coasting upto one Km. then save 13 unit energy i.e Rs. 66/- only. 

3. If 06 coach Mail/Exp. Train run coasting upto one Km. then save 6 unit energy i.e Rs. 30/- only. 

4. Coasting of standard Goods train as below
